The Nhs Covid Pass For People Who Are Medically Exempt From Vaccinations
All exemptions will be confirmed by your doctor, specialist clinician or midwife. If approved, your NHS COVID Pass can then be used to prove your status.
The domestic NHS COVID Pass will look and work the same for people with medical exemptions as it will for people who are fully vaccinated. The pass will not show that you have a medical exemption.
You will also get a confirmation letter which you should keep for your records. Use the letter to prove that youre unable to get vaccinated if you work or volunteer in a care home or are travelling from a country thats not on the red list. The letter will explain that youre medically unable to get vaccinated, the pass does not.

Vaccine Certificates Explained: How To Prove Your Vaccination Status As Victoria Prepares To Reopen
The Victorian government rolled out trials at 14 venues across the state on Monday to test its soon-to-be implemented “vaccinated economy”.
When Victoria reaches its next immunisation target of 70 per cent double vaccination, projected to be on or before October 26, businesses such as hairdressers and restaurants will be able to reopen to fully vaccinated customers.
When the state reaches 80 per cent double vaccination, projected to be around November 5, a wider range of businesses such as nightclubs, gyms and all retail stores will be able to serve fully vaccinated customers.
Patrons will have to prove their full vaccination status to access venues and businesses in the coming months.
It came as the state government unveiled a new advertising campaign on Monday promoting vaccination as the “ticket” to access services.
“It’s all about capturing the sentiment that Victorians want to get back to the things we love, the things that we aspire to again after 20 months of such hard work,” Health Minister Martin Foley said.
“Dining, sport, travel, work, but perhaps most importantly of all, reconnecting with family and friends and those we love.”

How Would I Get An Exemption If Im Eligible
COVID vaccine medical exemptions can be obtained from general practitioners, paediatricians, clinical immunologists, infectious disease, general or public health physicians, gynaecologists or obstetricians.
If someone thinks they qualify for an exemption based on the above, its often best to visit a GP first to discuss.
The federal government will introduce a certificate system for people to prove they have a medical exemption later this month. These would be available through the Services Australia app.
With mandates looming, GPs and other providers will feel pressure to dispense exemptions to people not wanting to be vaccinated. Employers will be seeking clarity about who can receive one. This can often cause distress and conflict if the request for an exemption is denied, for both the provider and patient.
Also, if mandates arent applied equally and fairly, theres a risk of compounding disadvantage.
These mandates are made at a jurisdictional level, so there may also be differences regarding which groups are affected depending on the state or territory.
The stakes are high for those who remain unvaccinated, so its vital employers, individuals and medical providers are aware of the new ATAGI clinical guidance regarding the medical exemption criteria and that jurisdictions provide additional clarity about the process.
