Current Epidemiologic Data On Death Associated With Vaccination
In 2003, the IOM examined the relationship between vaccinations and SIDS. The IOM rejected a causal association between the whole cell pertussis-containing vaccine and SIDS and between exposure to multiple vaccines and SIDS. The IOM concluded that inadequate evidence existed to accept or reject a causal relationship between several other vaccines and SIDS. Additionally, the IOM did not recommend a policy review of the recommended childhood vaccination schedule by any of the national or federal vaccine advisory bodies on the basis of concerns about sudden unexpected death in infancy .
A study published in 2013 using electronic health record databases reviewed health information on over 13 million vaccinated persons and compared causes of death in the vaccinated study population to the general US population. The death rate 1 or 2 months following vaccination was lower than that in the general US population, and the causes of death were similar . This study provides convincing evidence that vaccinations are not associated with an increased risk of death at the population level.
People Do Not Know How Well We Actually Do In Global Vaccination
Today vaccines protect millions of people around the world from infectious diseases. In this fight we are much, much further ahead than most people realize.
The first chart shows the evidence for this misperception. In this chart we plotted the survey responses that people gave when they were asked How many of the worlds 1-year old children today have been vaccinated against some disease?. The correct answer was 85.8% this is the share of 1-year olds that received the third dose of the combination vaccine that protects against Diphtheria, Tetanus, and Pertussis .
But in all countries in which people were surveyed people were much too pessimistic about the global coverage. Americans think that only 35% of the worlds children are vaccinated, the true coverage is 50 percentage points higher.22
In Japan people were even more pessimistic and thought that only 18% were vaccinated. As it is often the case in questions on global development we again see that people in poorer countries have a more accurate view of the world: in Kenya and Senegal people thought that vaccines reach around two thirds of all children in the world, but even these highest estimates are 20 percentage points too low.

Nearly all COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. now are in people who werent vaccinated, a staggering demonstration of how effective the shots have been and an indication that deaths per day now down to under 300 could be practically zero if everyone eligible got the vaccine.

The U.S. COVID vaccine rollout has seen over 90 million people receive at least one dose, according to Centers for Disease Control and Prevention data as of March 7.
Scientists told Newsweek on February 24 that serious side-effects from the vaccine were rare at a time when 65 million doses had been given. Some examples of common reported side-effects include pain at the site of injection and tiredness.

Healthcare professionals are required to report certain adverse events that occur after vaccines to the system, but it is not designed to give information on what caused the events, such as deaths.

People are going to die after getting a coronavirus vaccine, even if it is 100% safe. This is not conjecture. It is, unfortunately, a statistical inevitability. Let me explain.
In the United States, before the pandemic, an average of about two million people over the age of sixty-five died annually. These deaths were, of course, from an assortment of causes, including heart disease, cancer, and old age. Given that the U.S. has a population of about fifty-one million over sixty-five, this means roughly 4% of such individuals die each year, irrespective of the coronavirus.
So, what will happen once everyone starts getting a coronavirus vaccine? Will these deaths suddenly stop? Of course not. In fact, assuming that everyone over the age of sixty-five gets vaccinated over the course of a year, we can do simple statistics to make some important predictions.
Now, what do you think will happen when Americans, especially those unversed in science or medicine, start reporting that their parent or grandparent perished a day or a few days after receiving a coronavirus vaccine? Thats right, people will naturally assume the vaccine caused death. Given the maelstrom of misinformation and confusion we have already seen in this pandemic, mass vaccination will only become that much more difficult.

It is not clear what data the article draws on to reach this conclusion. However, it appears to use information from the Yellow Card scheme, which cannot provide a definitive link between vaccines and reported side effects, and misleadingly extrapolates this to the younger population.
An article on the website TCW, formerly known as Conservative Woman, warns against teenagers receiving the Covid-19 vaccine, citing claims that vaccine deaths have overtaken the number of Covid-19 deaths in healthy people during the whole of 2020.
The conclusions drawn in the article make false comparisons between different sets of data, at points directly against the advice of health authorities, and follow a number of articles that make similarly false claims, which we have fact checked before.
The article also falsely claims that an increasing proportion of people will die as the Covid-19 vaccines are rolled out to younger people.
Diphtheria Tetanus And Pertussis Vaccine
Diphtheria, tetanus, and pertussis are all bacterial diseases and a combination vaccine against all three diseases is commonly used.
- Diphtheria primarily infects the throat and upper airways and is fatal in 5 10% of cases.
- Tetanus is not passed person-to-person but through spores of a bacteria living in soil and animal intestinal tracts. These bacteria enter the body through wounds and release a toxin that affects the nerves, which causes muscle stiffness and spasms.
- Pertussis is a highly contagious disease of the respiratory tract, commonly known as whooping cough. Children who contract pertussis tend to have coughing spells that last four to eight weeks, but the highest fatality is in young infants. Vaccinating health workers and pregnant women is the most effective strategy for preventing disease in infants too young to be vaccinated.

The WHO reports in 2017 that 85% of infants worldwide received 3 doses of diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis vaccine . Also in 2016 130 countries had reached at least 90% coverage with the DTP3 vaccine.56
If we look at the change over time by world region it is South Asia in particular that stands out. While 85% of one-year-olds today are immunized, that same figure was as low 6% in 1980.

We know that vaccines work to save lives from vaccine-preventable disease.
If you are at all hesitant about vaccines and are doing your research, you have likely come across the myth that vaccines are more dangerous than the diseases they protect us against though.

Who Is Getting Breakthrough Covid Cases
According to the CDC, most of the severe breakthrough cases about 74% had been among seniors who were 65 years or older, CNN reports.

Reports of deaths and serious injuries occurring after Covid-19 vaccination are increasing significantly. However, the numbers are disputed as incorrect by scientists, and ignored by most of the media.
RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL Reports of deaths and serious illnesses occurring after Covid-19 shots have been mounting during the last few months. Those who look at the numbers and historical vaccine injury rates claim that the world has never seen anything like it.
